Rebecca Niles
Founder and Principal
An experienced professional in systems thinking and simulation modeling, Rebecca helps leaders understand and transform the systems in which they operate. Over 25 years, she has worked in diverse industries (consulting, health, retail, manufacturing, publishing, education, real estate development and finance, public policy, and affordable housing) and functional areas (operations, marketing, finance, sales, and strategy). She is a highly skilled facilitator who designs and facilitates interactive workshops to help leaders see the big picture, using system maps and simulation models to identify effective strategies and build consensus toward their effective implementation. She earned her MBA and BS degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is a guest lecturer at MIT Sloan Executive Education, Brown University, and the Wharton School of Management.
Collaborators
ReThink Health awakens changemakers to what is possible. They spur big-picture thinking that allows leaders to step outside their own frames of reference. This lets them better see how the various parts of the system interact in unexpected ways and determine how and where they can exert influence. Their models and tools catalyze systems thinking, foster more effective and broad-based stewardship teams, develop strategies for change, and offer diverse financing approaches so that change is sustainable over time.
Iceberg Partners works with ReThink Health to design and delivers strategy labs using their ReThink Health Dynamics Model. The strategy labs build alignment among members of multi-sector collaborations around effective strategies to improve population health of regions in the United States.
Climate Interactive is a not-for-profit organization based in Washington DC. They help people see what works to address climate change and related issues like energy, health, food security, and disaster risk reduction. Their easy-to-use, tangible, scientifically-grounded tools help people see for themselves what options exist today to shape the future they want to see.
Iceberg Partners works with Climate Interactive to inspire audiences to understand and act on current climate challenges by leading and disseminating their interactive role-playing games like World Climate and World Energy and Agritopia, as well as running a Climate Summit Simulation in which participants use a cutting edge simulation model to explore what it will take to achieve the Paris Agreement goal of keeping global warming below 2°C.
Forio creates software products that enable simulations, data explorations, and predictive analytics. Many customers use their tools to turn sophisticated analyses into interactive, memorable web applications that anyone can use. They also develop custom software, designed collaboratively with customers including businesses, universities, and government agencies around the world. These simulations focus on training and strategic planning for current and aspiring mid- and senior-level managers and enabling organizations to understand and improve their decision-making.
Iceberg Partners works with Forio to deliver experiences at the Wharton School of management and uses their services and tools to develop interfaces and host simulations.
